MoCCA Arts Festival 2013

Ho-lee shizz!  What an amazing weekend at MoCCAfest!  Met a bunch of cool bros of the indie comics scene, caught up with a buncha friends, and capped it all off with Jurassic Park in IMAX 3D.

The true highlight of the weekend was getting my mug sketched by my goddamned heroes:

I'm back!  Trying to stay energized, revitalized, and motivated.  Been on something of a tear of drawing new shit lately.  Gonna try to keep this momentum goingk.

Drink N' Draw - 02/08/2012

Attended a Facebook Drink N' Draw event at Mary O's on Feb 8, 2012.  Was a pretty fun event with a good turnout, despite me getting lost as shit for about an hour in lower Manhattan trying to find the venue. (;ಠ_ಠ)

Eventually, I got there (just as I was about to say "fuck it" and hog it home).

Gotta say, had a pretty good time.  Downed a good gallon or so of Guinness over the course of the evening so I got pretty giddy by the end of it. I'll probably hit the event up again the next month if it's available. （￣ー￣）

How to Vidjo Game in 48 Hours

This past weekend was the Global Game Jam, a 48-hour endurance test to design and create a game entirely from scratch.  Our gracious hosts at Slingo, Coray and Jason,  provided the space and sustenance the six of us required to essentially live out a day at a white-collar version of a sweatshop.

Trying to approach a more painterly method than my usual ham-fisted application of solid fills.  Pretty satisfied with how it came out; could probably do well to continue practice.
